The start of a new adventure

Een hele lange tijd heb ik dit verhaal niet durven te schrijven, omdat ik toch altijd een klein (negatief) stemmetje in mijn achterhoofd had dat bleef beweren dat er toch nog wel iets mis zou gaan, waardoor het hele avontuur niet door zou gaan.  

Sinds afgelopen nacht durf ik het steeds meer te geloven, want m'n ticket is geboekt, m'n stage en huisvesting zijn geregeld,  en sinds afgelopen nacht is eindelijk mijn visa rond. 

Vanaf 1 april (nee echt geen grap), ga ik stage lopen aan "The University of Queensland, at the Institute of Molecular Bioscience' in Brisbane Australië :). ik ga daar onderzoek doen naar de downstream proccessing voor de winning van waardevolle componenten uit microalgen. 

Ik vertrek al over 2 weken! Op 28 Maart vertrek ik in de ochtend vanaf Schiphol, en ik kom 29 Maart in de avond (lokale tijd) aan in Brisbane.  Ik blijf voor ongeveer 6 Maanden in Australië en verwacht eind September weer terug in Nederland te zijn. 

Dit hele avontuur wil ik gaan bijhouden op deze blog, zodat iedereen die interesse heeft het mee kan volgen!

For a long time, I didn't dare to write this down. there was always a voice in the back of my head telling me that something would go wrong and that it would just all fall through. 

But since last night I finally started to believe that it is all actually happening. my flight is booked, my internship and accommodation are arranged,  and last night I finally received the confirmation that my visa was granted. 

Starting April 1(really no joke) I'm going to start my internship at the University of Queensland at the Institute of Molecular Bioscience, in Brisbane Australia. I'm going to do research about downstream processing techniques for the harvesting of high-value compounds from microalgae. 

I'm already leaving in 2 weeks! in the morning of March the 28th, I will depart from Schiphol airport. and I will arrive in Brisbane on the evening of  March the 29th. I will stay in Australia for about 6 months and will be back in the Netherlands at the end of September.

I want to blog all my experiences here so that everyone who's interested can follow me on my adventure!
